Grant Standards
Pre-Award | Post-Award
Welcome to the Grant Standards Page of our web site. This page is not yet open for business. While the Grant Standards are under development, we’d like to tell you a little bit about what’s forthcoming.
We have devised 30 grant program administration standards. 5 of the standards focus primarily on the management of pre-award functions and 25 focus on post-award management functions. Each standard is accompanied by an introductory statement explaining its purpose, significance and background. The introduction to each standard is followed by three tabular charts. The first chart identifies the standard and specifies the criteria and it indicators for meeting the standard. For each indicator enumerated, there are columns for "Yes", "No", "Not Applicable", "Points", "Score" and "Remarks".
The second tabular chart repeats the standard, the criteria and the indicators for each criteria followed by columns that are keyed to critical compliance resource information that is appropriate to each of the three major audiences. The reference keys are to the OMB audit, cost and management circulars as well as other resources.
The third tabular chart repeats the standard, the criteria and the indicators for each criteria followed by columns with explanations as to "how it is accomplished" and "what constitute full compliance".
The grant administration standards and technical reference can be used as stand-alone documents or in conjunction with several of our existing or forthcoming publications.
The Grant Standards are scheduled for release as follows:
| State & Local Governments and Indian Tribes | November 2005 |
| Non-Profit Organizations | January 2006 |
| Colleges & Universities | Summer 2006 |
